In 2006, I rented a well sorted Nissan Sentra from Perry Iannuzzi. I had three race weekends, all at Mosport again. The Nissan was an easy car to run, and I had a load of fun while increasing my experience. The car was not as fast on the back straight as the Nissan NX2000 the previous year, but I was not giving up the corners as I gained familiarity with the car and track. I was able to go through Turn-4 flat out.
I was hit (more of a strong nudge) by another car, a Civic that hit my inside rear at the exit of Turn-3. I was able to correct from the tap and kept my position.
I had my first podium – a third place at Mosport.
